Well the New Year started off well enough! Eddie & Karen (our friends from Suffolk) were over for the Christmas Holidays and Barrie & Jeanne (Lin's brother and sister-in-law) had driven up from their apartment in Miraflores to stay for a few days. We had planned to spend New Years Eve at a wine bar in the centre of Ronda, which is owned by a friend of our Spanish teacher, with all of our classmates!! Unfortunately, Lin was not feeling up to it, so we decided to go to the Don Javier Hotel, where we had been for the previous two years, for their special New Years Eve celebratory dinner. In previous years it had been fairly quiet, but this year there was a great atmosphere and we had a fantastic time. The menu was amazing, we started with a welcome drink and little fried crayfish with red pepper sauce followed by a cream of seafood soup, a kebab with monkfish and king prawn, apricot sorbet, Iberican pork meat with red fruits sauce and to finish a milk candy ice cream and a glass of champagne.
